As an Operations Product Development (OPD) Product Manager you will engage with the Apple Engineering, Product Design, Operations, Procurement, Marketing, and Planning teams to shape product and roadmap definition as an advocate for cost \u0026 supply chain, while enabling feature-rich, best-in-class hardware products. \\n\\nIn this role you will help guide the Operations/Procurement teams to influence upcoming product features \u0026 roadmaps, identify and address gaps to success, and serve as a βone stop shopβ to advise the broader organization on all things cost and supply chain. \\n\\nThis position requires very strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively influence peers and management, as well as a solid understanding of consumer electronics architecture, supply chains, and manufacturing cost structures. Understand key consumer electronic technologies to be able to identify cost trade-offs that challenge design, feature, and supply chain constraints\\nPerform detailed cost modeling and identify/develop opportunities for both material and non-material line items\\nManage product cost to achieve pricing and margin targets; set individual cost targets for each component/module\\nAssist Procurement in deriving accurate closest to the pin should costs\\nSupport product integration \u0026 feasibility scenarios, ROI analyses, supply chain optimization investigations, environmental implication assessments, etc.\\nDevelop the Supplier Plan of Record for each new product, focusing on strategic supply chain initiatives, and get buy-in from cross-functional stakeholders\\nHold regular executive forums to review/discuss trending cost vs targets and drive opportunities for cost \u0026 design optimization
7+ years of relevant experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain or related area\\nBS/BA in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related field\\nDemonstrated a detailed understanding of product cost management across hardware components and assemblies\\nProven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence decisions at all levels of the organization
Exceptional interpersonal \u0026 communication skills\\nSelf-starter with strong sense of ownership\\nAbility to resolve ambiguity through a creative yet data-centric approach to program management/decision making\\nStrong analytical skills and ability to maintain attention to detail within big picture thinking\\nExperience managing multiple projects with competing priorities
