Our IT Product Manager for Data Logistics leads strategic product initiatives that modernize secure mail handling, imaging, and digitization of business-critical documents. This Manager oversees the full product lifecycle, aligning delivery with business goals through Agile (SAFeยฎ)practices like Program Increment Planning (PI Planning) and backlog refinement. They will partner with engineering, operations, and compliance teams. The IT Product Manager drives scalable, high-tech solutions that support federal and commercial clients. Having technical fluency in Agile tools, workflow automation, cloud platforms, EDI and compliance frameworks is essential. As a key departmental leader, this role fosters innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role requires product management skills including roadmap planning, backlog prioritization and KPI definition.

Salary Range
125,000 ~ $160,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Work Location
Our first consideration will be to have this new employee live in the state of Wisconsin and to take advantage of Hybrid work and collaboration. Employees living within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI) will be expected to be able to work Hybrid 3 days a week on a regular basis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 7 or more years of experience in IT product management or related roles.
  • 3 or more years in a leadership/management capacity.
  • Extensive experience with SAFeยฎ Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), PSPO (Scrum.org), Certified Product Manager (CPM), or Certified Scrum Product Manager (CSPO).
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, enterprise IT products or portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success leading product teams in an agile or hybrid delivery environment.
  • Deep understanding of product management principles, agile frameworks, and IT solution delivery this includes:
    • Agile/Scrum methodologies, backlog management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps), and iterative delivery practices including sprint cycles and PI Planning.ย 
    • Strategic thinking with ability to translate division/business unit goals into actionable product strategies.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills with ability to coach and mentor teams.
    • Expertise in agile product management, scaled agile frameworks (SAFeยฎ), or hybrid delivery models.
    • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience to assist the development team navigate technical complexities.
    • Excellent financial acumen with experience managing product budgets.
    • Ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams and complex organizations.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Negotiation skills with ability to effectively negotiate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product priorities and commitments.
    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with enterprise IT platforms (ERP, CRM, cloud, or healthcare systems).
  • Familiarity with X12 format document exchange and secure data handling practices.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) and API integrations.
  • Understanding of workflow automation, data indexing, and system interoperability.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST, and other data protection standards.
  • Knowledge of mailroom operations, including document imaging, digitization, and batch processing.
  • Ability to ensure product and process alignment with audit and security requirements.
