Perfected Claims is looking for a Head of Product and Technology to support its mission and shape the future of how justice is delivered at scale. Location Note: Preference will be given to qualified candidates who live in – or are willing to work in – the USVI or Eastern time zone.Β

Β

The Head of Product and Technology will lead the strategic planning and execution of our product vision while overseeing the technical teams delivering it. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this leader is responsible for shaping the product roadmap, guiding software engineering execution, and managing the systems, tools, and vendors that support both internal operations and external customer experiences. This position will directly manage the Director of Application Development, Developers, and Product Managers. This role blends strong product management experienceβ€”ideally in the legal industryβ€”with technical oversight and organizational leadership. The ideal candidate brings a product-first mindset with enough technical fluency to guide cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle.

Β

What You’ll Lead

Product Strategy and Roadmap Ownership

  • Drive the roadmap for our Perfected Platform, including the intake, case validation, communication, and reporting tools that power our legal services.
  • Build out the future of our client portal β€” an experience that’s clear, compassionate, and empowering.
  • Lead integration between Perfected and Erin Brockovich’s new company, launching in 2026 β€” including a consumer health app that will connect people to environmental justice in real-time.
  • Connect cross-functional needs into a single, living product vision that keeps us nimble, compliant, and human-centered.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities by developing and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports, leveraging the organization's robust data warehouse to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.

Tech Leadership That Supports Real Work

  • Manage and evolve a high-performing internal team:
    • Director of Application DevelopmentΒ
    • Developers
    • Product Manager
    • Technical Program Manager
      Β
  • Coordinate expansion efforts with development firm to manage and enhance our existing platform. You’ll play a key role in shaping its future direction and driving product and technology strategy forward.
  • Oversee system performance, scalability, and integration across Salesforce, AWS-hosted custom services, DataWarehouse technologies (i.e. β€œcore platform”), marketing sites, legacy applications, and operations tools.Β
  • Guide architectural decisions and technical tradeoffs across a diverse stack, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.

Continuous Improvement and Execution

  • Own the way our platform adapts to change β€” whether it’s new case types, new partners, or new compliance needs.
  • Build better analytics and reporting to drive smarter legal action.
  • Support our frontline operations and legal teams with tools that truly make their jobs easier.

Budget and Vendor Management

  • Manage departmental budgets for technology and product functions, including CapEx/OpEx planning.
  • Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management for SaaS tools, cloud services, and external development partners.

Corporate Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) and maintain a strong posture around cybersecurity and system resilience.
  • Oversee business continuity planning, access controls, and documentation of system operations and procedures.

Customer Support and Help Desk Oversight

  • Manage an external help desk team responsible for supporting our internal teams.
  • Monitor support performance and drive continuous improvement in ticketing systems, documentation, and escalation processes.

Our Technology Environment

Candidates should bring hands-on experience withβ€”or the ability to quickly ramp up onβ€”a range of technologies that support our business operations and product platforms:

  • Salesforce (preferred): Familiarity with platform customization, automation, and third-party integrations.
  • Data Warehousing Tools: Experience supporting or implementing platforms such as DBT (preferred), Snowflake, Redshift, or similar.
  • Data Reporting & Visualization: Comfort working with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Cloud Infrastructure (AWS): Understanding of how to leverage AWS services for scalable application hosting, storage, and analytics.
  • Custom Applications & APIs: Familiarity with custom development environments, ideally in Python and RESTful API architecture, even if not hands-on.
  • Legacy Tools: Motivation to understand how File Maker Pro, which will be sunset in the near future, handles our claims administration for an older tort.Β  Other off-the-shelf tools like docusign and formstack handle portions of the user journey - which you will need to evolve over time.Β

Who You Are

  • Product-Led. You live for user impact. You care about intuitive experiences, scalable systems, and sweating the details β€” because someone’s livelihood might depend on it.
  • Solution-Oriented. You say β€œYes, AND” or β€œYes, BUT.” You see obstacles as creative constraints, not dead ends.
  • Calm in Chaos. You thrive in an environment where plans change, priorities shift, and the stakes are high.
  • Builder & Refiner. You love to ship, but also to refactor. You believe MVPs and excellence can coexist.
  • Servant Leader. You believe leadership means lifting others. You love watching your team win.
  • Mission-Driven. You want your work to matter β€” to make the world more fair, more just, more human.
    Β

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Product, Technology, or Engineering leadership roles.
  • 3+ years managing cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers.
  • Salesforce platform experience (preferred).
  • Comfort working with both internal users and external engineering partners.
  • Strong technical fluency β€” enough to question assumptions, propose options, and drive decisions.
  • Experience with platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Tableau/Looker/Power BI a plus.
  • Legal-tech or legal operations experience preferred, but not required.
  • Deep empathy and strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent need for oral, written, and auditory communication.
  • Prolonged periods working on a computer.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Frequent repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes stressful services environment.
  • Occasional need for travel.Β
