About the Role

We’re looking for our first dedicated Director of Product, a strategic yet hands-on leader who will help define the future of our product, our process, and our market impact.
You’ll lead the charge in clarifying our product vision, aligning our roadmap to company goals, and ensuring we’re building solutions that delight our ideal customers. This is a unique opportunity to shape both the product and the Product Management function from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and articulate a clear product vision that drives alignment and growth.
• Own and maintain our product roadmap, ensuring it stays business-aligned, transparent, and actionable.
• Establish systems for customer feedback, validation, and advisory participation.
• Define and measure feature adoption and success metrics.
• Partner with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer teams to define and bring impactful features to market.
• Lead UI/UX and Accessibility improvement initiatives and lay the groundwork for a dedicated design function.
• Serve as the voice of the customer and a key thought partner to company leadership.
• As we grow, help build and lead a small Product Management team.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, with strong SaaS expertise.
• Proven ability to define and execute product strategy and roadmaps in alignment with business goals.
• A balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, you’re comfortable defining direction and writing user stories alike.
• Experience collaborating across teams to shape Go-To-Market and launch plans.
• Strong empathy for customers and passion for building products that solve real problems.
• Familiarity with UI/UX and experience guiding design and accessibility decisions.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

It all started back in 1997 when one of our founders was working for an audio-visual integrator. His job was to train teachers how to use multimedia authoring software to put the school lunch menu on the tube TVs that were hung in the hallways. This was a frustrating job because the teachers didn’t understand how the software worked which led to training them over and over again. Until we had our aha moment! It’s not that the teachers weren’t smart; it was that the tool wasn’t made for them. That is when the founders set out to make “signage” software that everyone could use. This principle is still core to Carousel over 20 years later.
