Deputy Product Manager

The Deputy Product Manager performs multi-functional operations encompassing supporting the Product Manager in overseeing the development and execution of product strategies. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure product goals align with product goals. Assists in roadmap planning, performance tracking, and customer feedback integration. Aids in leading initiatives or feature development under the guidance of senior product leadership. procurement management, personnel security oversight, and technical documentation development. This leadership role requires managing cross-functional processes, analyzing performance data to drive operational excellence, and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize efficiency.  Implementing strategic initiatives to optimize efficiency. The position involves supervising operational workflows, establishing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations while maintaining audit-ready documentation and procurement processes.

Responsibilities include:

Product Management:

• Supports strategy execution, helps implement the product strategy set by senior leadership
• Assists with roadmap planning, helps refine the roadmap and updating integrated master schedule for customers.
• Coordinates requirement gathering, supports stakeholder interviews or user surveys
• Facilitates Cross-Team Collaboration Acts as a connector between teams
• Tracks performance, tracking, analysis, and reporting of product metrics to support data-driven decisions.
• Support rollouts, assist in orchestrating minor and major releases

Purchasing/Procurement:

• Manage procurement operations including vendor quote requests and contract negotiations
• Oversee preparation and maintenance of audit-compliant procurement files and financial tracking systems
• Monitor and track financial transaction data and administrative tracking logs
• Lead procurement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives
• Ensure compliance with operational instructions, state, and federal procurement regulations

Personnel Security Management:

• Oversee personnel security compliance programs and documentation management
• Lead security awareness initiatives and ensure team adherence to security protocols
• Manage security-related communications through emails, meetings, and leadership presentations
• Ensure compliance with operational instructions, state, and federal security regulations
• Conduct regular security awareness training and updates for staff

Technical Documentation:

• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation
• Mine data and insights to uncover areas for focus, improvement, and reimagination in documentation processes
• Manage creation of training materials, reference guides, and process improvement documentation
• Lead special initiatives and cross-functional projects to enhance operational effectiveness
• Support process excellence initiatives through clear and effective documentation

General Operations:

• Provide regular progress and performance updates to leadership
• Maintain detailed tracking systems and administrative logs for monitoring performance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associates degree with relevant management experience required
• 5+ years of operations management experience with team leadership responsibilities
• Data analysis and reporting capabilities
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Administrative tracking and log maintenance experience
• Financial operations support knowledge
• Process improvement mindset
• Motivated, quick learner with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
