As a Product Manager in Commercial Card, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Job responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Develops fact-based business assessments to identify opportunities, inform investment decisions, ensure consistency of methodology and measure progress
  • Analyzes contractual cost structures of key partners to inform negotiations and partner strategies
  • Refines and re-engineers existing solutioning and delivery framework for product capabilities that includes periodic reporting
  • Communicates effectively with key internal and external partners to understand needs and priorities
  • Partners with internal stakeholders including Finance, Operations, Technology, Risk, Control, Compliance and Field to define and deliver new product capabilities
  • Assists in product strategy initiatives to support requirements across industries and client segments
  • Understands trends across the industry and client base to identify areas of opportunity and competitive vulnerability

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Change agent – make a compelling case for change through facts, strong communication style, and deep understanding of audience
  • Relationship builder – invest in developing collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners
  • Driven to execute – deliver results, leverage strong organizational skills and deep drive to execute flawlessly
  • Demonstrated experience implementing large-scale, complex solutions
  • Superb relationship management and communication skills; able to listen and navigate the organization to bring multiple stakeholders together
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint/PitchPro, with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to thrive in a high intensity environment with multiple and competing priorities

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Graduate degree in engineering, finance, business administration or similar experience
  • Payments expert: strong point of view on the future of payments informed by experience and thought leadership
