This position is contingent upon contract award.

The DISCS Academic Program Manager leads a team of eLearning Developers, Instructional Designers, Visual Designers and Learning Management System Administrators to provide learning design and development services for DISCS courseware. The PM will work closely with DISCS faculty to design and develop interactive courseware, graphical elements, scenarios, knowledge checks, and interactions for members of the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce to support new requirements.


ยท Duties & Responsibilities*

  • Assist DISCS subject matter experts (SMEs) in the design and development of course content for both classroom and online delivery methods utilizing Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles.
  • Manage a contractor team to produce deliverables.
  • Develop work breakdown structures, schedules and project plans to build and implement courseware products and ensure deliverables meet customer requirements on time.
  • Actively inform company leadership on the status of all projects, deliverables, resources and team members.
  • Build and maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with the customer.
  • 20% travel required

ยท Required Qualifications*

Demonstrated mastery of the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) process and other core ISD essentials including learning theories, assessment strategies, and evaluation models.

  • Ability to manage a cross functional team for adult learning design and development in an agile development environment including rapid authoring and complex multi-media modalities.
  • Experience in Instructional System Design to include a strong working knowledge of the concepts of immersion and scenario-based training.
  • Direct experience working collaboratively with client organization and staff.
  • Previous experience leading projects in the design and development of education and/or training.
  • Minimum four years' experience in leading/managing full spectrum learning design and development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the security cooperation community.
  • Experience in Instructional System Design, eLearning development and/or experience with an LMS (preferably Blackboard), and military or DoD formal school/training experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Possess and maintain current Information Assurance Level I professional certification
  • Pass a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) with inquiry. Possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
