As a Product Manager in Real Time Payments, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Offering 24/7 availability combined with never-before-seen speed and transparency, real-time payments are at the forefront of a digital payments revolution in the U.S. JP Morgan Chase has established a leadership position in building out the nationβs first instant payments system, US Real-Time Payments (RTP). We are working to expand our real-time payments channel enablement, commercialization, and grow the product in collaboration with the FedNow Service and The Clearing House.

Job responsibilities
- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
- Contributes as a key player and navigator to the development, implementation, and coordination of real-time payments product initiatives, programs, and strategic roadmapΒ
- Develops strong partnerships with cross functional teams and stakeholders across the organization and the globe including product, technology, operations, legal, risk, compliance and audit
- Owns the end to end execution of projects and priorities according to plan, while solving problems and issues that ariseΒ
- Engages internal and external partners/clients in order to fullyΒ understand the needs and priorities of the industry, clients, and the firm
- Leads conversations with Sales andΒ Product Sales Specialists to develop commercialization strategy and manage the pipeline of prospective clients for both RTP and Request for Payment (RfP)
- Plans and execute communications/campaigns working with Change Readiness, Ready-to-Launch, and other Line of Business partners
- Represents JP Morgan in RTP industry events; Enable additional channels for RTPΒ
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- 5+ years in banking with proven understanding of the paymentsΒ business Β
- Demonstrates high attention to detail, and exemplary quality, thoroughness and completeness of work product
- Proven ability to build strong, cohesive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, working effectively in a matrix organization
- Self-starter, team player, curious and eager to learn, flexible, operate with high sense of urgency and integrity
- Advanced organization skills, ability to thrive in a dynamic environment handling multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders (in different markets/ time zones
- Strategic thinking and problem solving abilitiesΒ
