Oracle’s Financial Services Analytical Applications team is responsible for the development and marketing of profitability, risk management, fraud, and regulatory compliance analytics applications.  Our software is used in over 70% of Global Systemically Important Financial Institutions. Our market leading financial crime and compliance software suite is used by leading financial institutions globally and underpins Anti-Money Laundering and Enterprise Fraud systems at some of the largest financial institutions in the world.

We are looking for an individual with prior Product Management experience in working with financial services organization’s journey to the cloud.  You will collaborate with our teams of product developers and fellow product managers who are responsible for a suite of a financial risk and compliance applications. We wish to transform how the industry does business on the cloud, leveraging the newest technologies and processes.

You will be an integral member of the Financial, Risk and Compliance (FRC) Foundation team.  FRC Foundation is a set of tools and services Oracle Financial Services products use to support their SaaS solutions. 

This PM role will require you to understand the needs of these individual products, turn that knowledge into use cases which can be developed by our team and the drive their adoption once released.  You will also be responsible for investigating and evaluating new solutions which we may determine should be pushed out to all products.  Candidates must be able to track, analyze and drive implementation of product updates while ensuring our internal clients understand what we have built, how it will assist them and how they are to adopt these features. Understanding best practices related to cloud environments, building software as a service and being able to support global, financial organizations is critical.  Knowledge of financial services solutions is extremely beneficial. 

As the Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in defining and driving the evolution of our API ecosystem. You will work closely with product architects and engineers to ensure our APIs are not only powerful but also intuitive and user-friendly for developers working in critical areas of financial services.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with product architects and engineers to develop a comprehensive API strategy that aligns with our overall SaaS product roadmap and business objectives, with a focus on functionalities that streamline financial processes.
  • Developing and maintain a near and long-term roadmap for development and uptake of FRC Foundation’s services across the organization.
  • Conduct market research to identify developer needs and industry trends in financial services APIs, particularly that exchange large volumes of data, with a deep dive into the specific requirements for optimizing financial performance and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the design, documentation, planning and launch of new APIs that cater to the unique needs of developers working in these critical areas of financial services.
  • Ensure our APIs adhere to industry best practices for security, reliability, and scalability, while also considering the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding financial transactions, liquidity management, and financial crime compliance.
  • Advocate for developer adoption by creating clear documentation, tutorials, and sample code specifically tailored to use cases involving transaction optimization, liquidity management, and compliance.
  • Enable other product managers on API as a strategy and establish developer outreach programs
  • Be a product evangelist by collaborating with product architects and engineers to continuously improve existing APIs based on usage data and developer feedback.
  • Track and analyse API usage data across the portfolio of SaaS applications to identify opportunities for improvement and measure the success of the API strategy.
  • Working closely with our internal and external customers and partners to gather feedback, understand use cases, and incorporate those insights into product requirements and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in senior B2B product management roles.
  • 4+ Years of experience within in the financial services and SaaS industry in a role as product manager.
  • Experience with (preferably financial services) use cases that require the movement of large data sets and / or high throughput
  • Technical background with experience in API design principles (RESTful APIs, OAuth).
  • Experience with financial data APIs 
  • Experience building developer communities for SaaS applications and even better if this is in financial services.
  • Experience with API tools (e.g., Swagger, Apiary).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively partner with product architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Data-driven approach with a passion for user experience (UX).
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.

Bonus

  • Proficiency in coding languages commonly used for API development (e.g., Python, Java).

US: Hiring Range: from $87,600 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
