Product Manager - Hardware Solutions

 DGA Security is seeking a Product Manager - Hardware Solutions Manger to lead the development and management of our hardware product offerings. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Technology, this role will partner with technology leadership and product managers to drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with deep technical knowledge and a passion for delivering innovative hardware solutions. This position is based in our midtown Manhattan office. 

The Role:
As the Product Manager for Hardware Solutions, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing our hardware product offerings, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems. You will: 

• Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of vendor technology solutions that integrate with DGA’s best-in-class advanced alarm monitoring, video security, and access control solutions.  
• Manage technical specifications, certifications, and vendor relationships for new hardware products. 
• Collaborate with internal teams to define product requirements and develop efficient workflows for hardware product integration. 
• Support the testing, certification, and implementation of hardware products tailored to high-value commercial businesses. 
• Identify and execute on opportunities for operational improvements through innovative hardware solutions. 

Responsibilities:

• Define hardware product offering requirements, specifications, and deliverables. 
• Develop product integration strategies that transform vendor technologies into unified, scalable security solutions. 
• Partner with leadership and stakeholders to manage a technology roadmap that anticipates market trends and emerging security technologies. 
• Work closely with technology and operations teams to ensure smooth hardware-software offering integration. 
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and vendor evaluations. 
• Establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs for hardware systems. 
• Provide technical expertise to support sales and customer-facing teams. 
• Lead hardware-related user research efforts to gather feedback and optimize solutions. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
• At least 5 years of experience in a hardware development or product management role. 
• Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and IoT systems. 
• Familiarity with the security industry and its regulatory standards, including UL compliance, is a plus. 
• Experience with hardware testing, troubleshooting, and deployment processes. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Background in security systems or related industries is a plus.
