Senior Product Manager
Description

As a Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Data Products – Product Manager, you will be part of a leading entrepreneurial and collegial team within the CIB Digital Markets organization. The team is responsible for the commercialization and development of data products across all asset classes and financial instruments, as well as managing the complete product lifecycle. This role would be a great opportunity for a middle-office specialist with deep knowledge in financial instruments, looking to expand their career, and influence the build out of exciting new data products.

Job Responsibilities:Β 

  • Product Management: Work closely with Data & Analytics sales, line-of-business data owners and Delivery Platform product teams to conceptualize, specify and develop proprietary data products, partnering with various technology organizations to deliver specified products
  • Data and Financial Modeling: Work closely with various stakeholders and clients to understand their workflows and data needs and translate those into specifications for data products
  • Data Product Support:Β  Develop deep understanding of upstream dependencies / origins of data products and their underlying business logic in order to resolve complex client inquiries
  • Analysis and Review:Β  Work with volumes of multi-asset securities to categorize and generate meaningful data-driven insights into building product roadmaps. Present findings to various internal partners, identify potential issues with the data, build quality checks and continually track enhancements required to maintain data consistency
  • Develop data sets to understand data quality, data predictive power, and likely data usefulness to the broader client base
  • Deliver high quality data products with commercial value and enable cross-selling opportunities across multiple JPMorgan platforms
  • End-to-end curation, management and go-to-market strategy of Data Products to best serve client needs
  • Managing and executing the full product development lifecycle to develop and bring to market, unique value-added proprietary content derived from J.P. Morgan and/or third-party sources
  • Developing extensive subject matter expertise by working closely alongside Line of Business staff while developing data products to be able to provide high-value-added customer support and resolve customer inquiries related to underlying data
  • Devising and implementing a Data Quality methodology to ensure consistency, accuracy and validity of Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) data products ensuring a first-class customer experience

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in the financial services environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or in another field and pursuing a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or another finance certification is a plus
  • Experienced in working with API's, databases, big data systems and data extraction using query language such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Spark, etc
  • Experienced with Python & Microsoft Excel to analyze data, and create data product prototypes
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and planning skills are required as the candidate will interact with numerous product, technology, and governance teams
  • Experienced in handling and analyzing complex reference and time series data for financial instruments across different asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange (FX), Credit)
  • Knowledge of Financial Derivatives, such as Equity or FX Options

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud resources
  • Comfortable writing product technical specifications for product development
  • Solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of financial instruments and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical audiences through written and verbal communication
