Jr Product Manager / Technical Producer – E-commerce

thelab is looking for a Junior Product Manager / Technical Producer to join our team and help execute projects that span UX/UI and technical development of complex websites and e-commerce platforms.Β 


The Jr. Product Manager will work under our Director of Product Management. The role will work directly with our clients and our internal teams to plan, scope, and write requirements for new project launches and feature enhancements. The ideal candidate would have some experience working with a team of UX/UI designers and developers.


A deep interest in technology, design, and business is a must, as a key attribute for success and growth in this role is the curiosity to dive into challenges and support our internal teams to do their best work. This often happens by preemptively understanding how client goals, time/budget constraints, and other factors impact prioritization and execution.

Responsibilities

– Turn client strategy and goals into project briefs, requirements and tickets

– Participate in client meetings, take ownership of meeting notes, follow-ups, and document decisions as they’re made

– Engage with the Creative, Development, and QA teams, and track progress to ensure any blockers are addressed in a timely manner

– Review deliverables to ensure project goals have been met before delivery

– Ensure projects stay within timelines and budget

– Develop clear and concise weekly project reports

– Stay up to speed on multiple projects and deliverablesΒ 

Β 

You are

– At least one (1) year experience managing software development using an Agile methodology

– Able to understand application architecture to the extent needed to troubleshoot if necessary

– Adept at writing extremely detailed and clear project documentationΒ 

– Experienced working within small- and medium-size cross-functional teams

– Familiar with Project Management software, such as Redmine or Jira

– Proactive at managing expectations of both internal and client teams

– Organized, with an astute attention to detail

– Experienced with creating budgets and tracking costs

– Successful at delivering projects on time, to spec, and within budget




The role will be in our New York office - Hybrid (in office Tues, Wed, Thurs) near Madison Square Park

Salary is $60,000 – $65,000, commensurate with experience and market
