Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy that aligns with the company’s product vision and business objectives.
    • Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, pricing, marketing, and sales, to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Governance and Quality:
    • Establish and enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of data standards, documentation, and metadata management.
    • Monitor and improve data quality through regular audits and validation processes.
  • Analytics and Insights:
    • Drive the development and implementation of advanced analytics and reporting tools to provide actionable insights for product development and business strategy.
    • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success and inform decision-making.
    • Utilize data analytics to identify market trends, customer behaviors, and opportunities for product innovation.
  • Technology and Tools:
    • Evaluate and implement data management technologies and tools to enhance data collection, storage, and analysis capabilities.
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of data management practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive data initiatives and support business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data management strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization platforms.
